At Texas Life Publications we have started a new feature for each new issue, Tastes of Texas Life. We all love great food and with so many different options across our diverse state, it just makes sense to highlight some of the most unique and amazing small town restaurants that Texas has to offer. This issue we will be making a trip down 281 to the town of Marble Falls to experience the Bluebonnet Café.
Opening in 1929, the Bluebonnet Café quickly gained worldwide fame for their great food and legendary homemade pies. They even have a pie happy hour every Monday – Friday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
Their menu has something to offer everything your appetite may be demanding. From breakfast served all day long, salads, soups made from scratch daily, and their world famous pot roast and chicken fried steaks, you are guaranteed to leave full, and probably with a few leftovers to boot. Just make sure and save some room for one of their mouthwatering pieces of pie. Or even better, take a whole pie to go and share with your friends.
While the Bluebonnet Café has some of the best food around, what makes the experience even better is the friendly, welcoming smiles of the employees. They treat each and every customer like they are part of their family. The food is great, but it’s the experience that keeps you coming back time and time again.
So no matter what part of Texas you may be from, make it a priority to take a day or two and visit Marble Falls and the Bluebonnet Café. After you experience what we have, you will definitely be back for more.
